- As a Police Wife or Fire Wife you have a lot to juggle. You spend a lot of time alone, including nights alone, where you have to be EVERYTHING: the decision maker, the disciplinarian, the problem solver, the protector etc. You have your own worries about the dangers of the job itself and what those dangers might mean for your family. You see how committed to their work they are and do your best to hold it all together. This can be isolating since individuals beyond first responder families might not completely relate. Your spouse deals with some of the most terrifying things human nature has to offer and you might take on some of those worries. Making time to take care of yourself and build a community of support with others that go through the same challenges you do can be helpful! I’d like to help you build a resilient family that will outlast the impacts of the career. Taking care of your family long term starts with taking care of you… TODAY! So join us!
- If you’re a first responder spouse, I am inviting you to join us for a couple hours of self-care, connection with other proud police and fire spouses, and education. We will discuss some of the impacts the career might have on your spouse, marriage, and kids and what you can do about them. Come alone or invite other first responder spouses to come with you!
